6th International Art ‘N’ Niğde Culture & Art Festival

I participated in the 6th International Art N Niğde Culture & Art Festival, held in Niğde, Turkey, from 19 to 24 April 2026, bringing together around 70 artists from different countries and cultural contexts.

This stay also had a personal dimension for me, a return to Turkey after many years and a reconnection with a place that once shaped an earlier part of my life. That sense of return was present quietly, without the need to directly guide the work.

Working in such an environment creates a specific dynamic. The days moved between individual work and shared time, conversations, exchanges and quiet observation. This diversity of perspectives naturally opens space for reflection and subtle shifts in one’s own process.

My work during the colony developed without a predefined direction, through making, observing and responding to the atmosphere and the people around me. These encounters do not impose themes, but they influence rhythm, energy and the way the work unfolds.

For me, experiences like this are valuable because they create a continuous dialogue, not only between artists, but also between different ways of thinking, seeing and working. It is a context where the work does not close, but continues to evolve through new readings and connections.
